今日的祖国，正站在实现“两个一百年”奋斗目标的历史交汇点上。恰逢此时，我校迎来了IB中心创办10周年。一晃十年，既有桃李芬芳的收获，也有初心不改的坚守。

Today's motherland is standing at the intersection of history. At this time, our school ushered in the 10th anniversary of the founding of the IB Center. Ten years have passed, there are both gains and perseverance 

我校提供的国际文凭预科课程（IB DP），该课程摆脱了传统的教学方法，提供了更全面的学习体验，并促进了孩子的全面成长和发展。

LFIS offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) which moves away from conventional methods of teaching and learning, provides a more holistic learning experience and promotes well-rounded growth and development.

This is reflected in the IB Mission Statement: 

国际文凭组织的使命宣言是：培养勤学好问、知识渊博、富有爱心的年轻人，他们通过对多元文化的理解和尊重，为开创更美好、更和平的世界贡献力量。

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

为了实现这个目标，国际文凭组织与众多的学校、政府以及其它国际组织进行合作，开发出一系列具有挑战性的国际教育项目和严格的评估制度。

To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

这些项目鼓励世界各地的学生成长为既积极进取又富有同情心的终身学习者，他们理解尽管人与人之间存在着差异，但他人的意见也可能是正确的。

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners.

学校全年还举办各种活动丰富课堂以外的学习生活。高中每年都会举办一次IB项目周 (IB Week)，以强化IB理念，并举办国际视野日（IM Day），以鼓励我们的学生尊重与自己不同的文化，反思他们在全球社会中的身份并找到为国际社会贡献的方法。在校园里，我们庆祝多元文化的节日，以培养人们对文化庆祝活动的接受和欣赏，但更重要的是为教学增添趣味，并让学生学得开心。

The school also runs various events throughout the year to complement classroom learning. High School annually holds the IB Week which reinforces the IB philosophy, and the International Mindedness (IM) Day to encourage our students to respect cultures different from their own, reflect on their identity in the global community and find ways to contribute. Local and global festivals are celebrated school wide in order to cultivate acceptance and appreciation of cultural celebrations, but more importantly to spice things up and to allow students to have some fun.

老师常常鼓励并支持学生参加他们感兴趣的各个领域竞赛，不管是校内的还是校际的。通过这些竞赛，我们在幼儿园的学生中发现了很棒的英语拼读者，在小学生中发现了敏锐的阅读者，在中学生中萌芽了书法家，在高中者中发现了数学狂。

Participation in intraschool and interschool competitions in students’ respective areas of interest is encouraged and supported by their teachers. Through these competitions, we have discovered awesome spellers among the kindergarteners, keen readers among the primary schoolers, budding calligraphers among the middle schoolers and math whizzes among the high schoolers.

学习的体验不是我们作为学校提供的唯一的事。我们还为学生提供了展示自己才华的机会，从迷人的音乐家到令人眼花缭乱的舞者，梁丰双语绝对不缺富有才华的孩子。参观学校的访客可以在学校各处看到我们展示的学生手工艺品和艺术品，我们相信这些展览可以给学生带来自无比的豪感和成就感。

Learning experiences are not the only thing the school offers. Students are also offered the opportunity to showcase their talents and LFIS is definitely not short of talents, from mesmerizing musicians to dazzling dancers. Visitors to the school can also view the handiwork and artwork of students exhibited all around the school, which we believe gives the students a sense of pride and achievement.
