2015年，联合国向全球发布了面向2030的17个目标，其中第二项目标为“零饥饿”——消除饥饿，实现粮食安全，改善营养，促进可持续农业。我校IB教育鼓励学生参与全球话题，在此次Shaping the Future Together 活动中，G8、G9，KG2A的师生将知识应用于实际生活，融合不同学科，真正关注了地球家园的命运。
The United Nations announced 17 goals for 2030 in 2015, with "Zero Hunger" being the second. This goal entails encouraging sustainable agriculture, creating food security, and boosting nutrition in addition to ending hunger. Our school's IB program encourages students to engage with global issues, and via the Shaping the Future project, Teachers and students of G8, G9, KG2A apply their learning to real-world situations, bridge academic disciplines, and show genuine concern for the future of the earth.

气候变化给我们赖以生存的资源带来了更多的压力，如果要为今天9.25亿饥饿人口和预计到2050年新增加的20亿人口提供营养，全球粮食和农业系统必须作出深刻的改变。
The resources we depend on for sustenance are under increasing strain due to climate change, and if we hope to feed the 925 million hungry people who exist today and the 2 billion more who are predicted to do so by 2050, the world's food and agriculture systems must undergo a radical transformation.
具有国际情怀的LFIS学子，在老师们的带领下，面向小初高学生精心设计了调查问卷。问卷除了普及相关知识，也向大家征集消除饥饿的建议，为全球消除饥饿献策献力。
Under the direction of the teachers, students from LFIS who felt a connection to other countries thoughtfully created a questionnaire for elementary, junior, and senior high school students. This questionnaire not only made pertinent information more widely known, but it also asked for suggestions on how to end hunger on a global scale.
本次调查向小学部发放问卷94份，初高中38份，收到逾200条建议反馈。同学们根据问卷反馈，精心挑选出现频次较高的建议，根据这些建议设计标语，亲手绘制风铃，把标语系在风铃上。
More than 200 recommendations were received after 94 questionnaires were given to the elementary school and 38 to the middle and high schools. The students meticulously chose the proposals that showed up more frequently, created slogans based on these suggestions, hand-drew wind chimes, and connected the phrases to the wind chimes, as per the response from the questionnaire.

画笔挥洒情感
Use paintbrushes to express feelings
G8、G9的孩子们在老师的带领下，在一卷5米长的画布上进行创作：饥饿的人们手拿着空空的盘子排队等待分发食物时，幻想着有一天能吃上丰盛的美食。面黄肌瘦的人群和色彩鲜艳的食物形成鲜明对比，同学们希望通过这样的表达能激起同学们对食物的珍惜，引发大家对当下生活的思考。
Students from G8 and G9 were led by teachers to create their work on a 5-meter-long canvas: hungry people lined up with empty plates in their hands to wait for food to be distributed, dreaming about one day eating a rich meal. The yellow-faced, thin-skinned people and the brightly colored food is in stark contrast, and students hope that via such expressions, they can encourage us to cherish food and arouse everyone's concern about current life.

Clean Plate Campaign
1945 年的 10 月 16 日，联合国粮食及农业组织（粮农组织）正式宣告成立，这一天由此被纪念为“世界粮食日”。随着国力的增強，经过老一辈整整一代人的艰苦奋斗，我们解决了从吃不饱到吃很好的提升。那我们是不是可以在粮食问题上高枕无忧，任意挥霍呢？事实上，我们每年能浪费掉2亿人一年的口粮。
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) was officially proclaimed on 16th October 1945, a day commemorated as World Food Day. We have overcome the issue of hunger, from not having enough food to a variety of food, thanks to the strengthening of our nation and the laborious efforts of the elder generation as well as an entire generation. Can we indulge in food at will and then just kick back and relax? In actuality, 200 million people are deprived of the food that would last one year.
“谁知盘中餐，粒粒皆辛苦。”幼儿园KG2A的小朋友们也在为消除饥饿付诸行动，他们积极响应老师“光盘行动”的号召，纷纷“清空”自己的餐盘，用自己的实际行动践行节约精神。
"Farmers face difficult conditions to provide food, and this food should be cherished" Children in KG2A are also taking action to eliminate hunger, and they actively respond to teachers' call for "Clean Plate " to empty their dinner plates and practice the spirit of saving with their own actions.
良食即爱
Food is love
消除饥饿，需要做的有很多。而我们当下能实际做到的就是节约粮食，避免浪费。LFIS 师生以此为宗旨，提出了“良食即爱”的口号，并在校园里造了一块“麦田”，希望通过这样的方式让孩子们体会农民伯伯的辛劳，也期待每一片土地都能种出丰硕的果实。
There is a lot that needs to be done to eliminate hunger, and what we can actually do now is to save food and avoid waste. With this as the purpose, teachers and students put forward the slogan "Good food is love" and created a "wheat field" in school, hoping that in this way, students can feel the hard work of the farmers and hope that every piece of land can bear abundant fruits.

Warm moments
每天每时每刻，在世界的某处，或许就有一个儿童需要我们的帮助。LFIS的师生自发捐献了1000支铅笔和80块肥皂。小小的爱心托起大大的希望，也将这份温暖永远定格。
Every minute of every day, somewhere in the world, there may be a kid who needs our help. Teachers and students at LFIS donated 1,000 pencils and 80 bars of soap. Small acts of kindness hold up a big hope, and the warmth brought by our efforts will always be there.
